We Handle 811
Pulling fence posts means digging — and digging without 811 marking can hit gas lines, water mains, fiber optic, or electrical. We coordinate the utility marking before any post comes out. Free service, required by law, easy to skip until you accidentally cut your neighbor's internet.
Concrete Footings Out (or Left In)
Most fence posts are anchored in 50–100 lbs of concrete buried 24"+ deep. We have the equipment to dig them out cleanly — or leave them buried if you'd rather save money and the location won't be disturbed. Your call.
Full Haul-Away Included
Old fence material gets loaded into our trailer and hauled off. No dumpster rental, no curbside pickup negotiations, no scrap pile sitting in your yard for weeks. Clean removal means clean property at the end of the job.

Take out just a portion — leave the rest standing.
Removing a section of fence to make room for a shed, pool, addition, or driveway extension. We cleanly remove the affected section, properly cap the remaining fence so it stays structurally sound, and haul away the removed material.

Concrete Footing Excavation
Full dig-out, including all buried concrete.
Standard removal often leaves concrete footings buried in the ground (they're not affecting anything). But if you're regrading, putting in a pool, planting trees in the fence line, or selling and want a clean property, we do full footing excavation and removal.

How much does fence removal cost?
Standalone fence removal runs $3–$8 per linear foot depending on material, concrete handling, and access. A typical 150ft residential wood fence removal runs $450–$1,200 with full haul-away. When bundled with a new fence install, removal is often discounted significantly or rolled into the new fence quote.
Do you remove the concrete footings?
Your choice. Standard removal often leaves the concrete footings buried (they're cheap to leave, expensive to dig out). But if you're regrading, putting in a pool, planting trees, or selling a home, full footing excavation makes sense. We quote both options so you can pick.
Do you haul away the old fence?
Yes — full haul-away is included in our removal quote. No dumpster rental needed. No scrap pile sitting in your yard. We load it into our trailer and dispose of it properly. For very large commercial removals we may bring a dumpster — but it's still our responsibility, not yours.
How quickly can you come out for a repair?
We typically schedule repair estimates within 2-5 business days. Emergency situations (fence down after a storm, security concerns, vehicle impact) we'll prioritize — call us directly and we'll get there as fast as we can. After estimate approval, most repairs schedule within 1-2 weeks.
How long does removal take?
A typical 150ft residential fence removal finishes in 4-6 hours. Longer fences or full concrete excavation can extend to a full day. Larger commercial removals may run 2-3 days. Most residential customers are surprised at how fast we work — fence removal is one of the fastest services we do.
Do I need a permit to remove a fence?
For standalone removal (no replacement), permits are rarely required for residential properties. For commercial properties or historic districts, there can be specific rules. We'll let you know if anything special applies to your property during the estimate.
Can you remove just part of my fence?
Yes — partial removal is common, especially for customers putting in sheds, pools, or driveway extensions. We remove the affected section cleanly, properly cap the remaining posts so the rest of the fence stays solid, and leave you with a finished edge.
What about underground utilities?
We coordinate 811 utility marking upon request before pulling posts. It's free, it's required by law, and it prevents accidentally cutting your gas line, water main, fiber optic, or electrical. Takes a few business days to schedule — we'll plan the removal around the marking.
Can you save my old wood for me?
Sometimes, depending on the condition. Reusable cedar pickets, structural lumber for garden beds, or interesting weathered wood for craft projects — yes, we can set those aside. Just tell us during the estimate what you want kept and we'll separate it during the removal.
