How long does it take to install a fence?
Most residential fences are completed in 1–2 days. A standard backyard privacy fence on a typical Indianapolis lot is usually a one-day job. Larger properties, sloped yards, or custom designs may take a second day. We'll give you a realistic timeframe when we quote your job — no surprises on install day.
Do I need a permit for a fence in Indianapolis?
It depends on your municipality and fence height. Many Indianapolis-area cities allow fences up to 6 feet in the backyard without a permit, but front yard fences and taller structures often require one. HOA rules can add another layer. We'll help you figure out what's required for your specific address during the estimate.
What materials do you use?

Every fence is built on-site by our own crew, not pre-fab panels stapled to posts. You get a real fence built the right way.
How much does a custom fence cost?
Fence pricing depends on material, height, linear footage, and your yard's layout. As a general guide: chain link starts around $18–$28/lf installed, wood privacy runs $22–$35/lf, vinyl $28–$42/lf, and aluminum $30–$50/lf. We give you an exact quote after seeing your property — no ballpark guesses over the phone.
What is the $100 reservation cost?
Once your estimate is approved and you're ready to move forward, we collect a $100 non-refundable reservation to secure your spot on our install calendar. Build dates fill up quickly, and this is what locks yours in. From there, we kick off the 811 utility marking process, send over your 50% deposit invoice and get your materials ordered, ahead of your install date. On build day, our crew shows up and gets it done — remaining balance is due upon completion.
What is 811 and do I have to deal with it?
811 is the national "Call Before You Dig" service. Before we set any posts, underground utilities (gas, electric, water, cable) need to be marked at your property. We coordinate this process for you after your reservation fee is received. It's required by law and takes a few days — which is another reason we lock in your date early.
Do you offer financing?
Yes! We offer financing options so you can get the fence you need now and pay over time. Rates and terms vary based on your approval. Ask us about financing during your free estimate and we'll walk you through the options.
